WOS (web Oriac and Siriac) [Qualiac Inference] is the software solution chosen by AIS to cover CERN needs in accounting.

Input into WOS originate from:

• PECT (Personnel Expense Consolidation Toolbox) for Salary and Claim expenses

• BAAN 4 [BAAN] for all stores related expenses

• EDH (Electronic Document Handling) for internal recharging

• Telephone exchange for recharging of telephone calls

Financial data is extracted daily from WOS and consolidated for reporting and analysis into the Cern Expenditure Tracking, CET [AIS].

Another data querying, analysis and reporting tool called Business Objects is also provided to Divisional Computing Support persons to create and provide ad-hoc reports which do not exist in other tools.
