Administration alarme

In addition to its Staff (~ 3000 persons), CERN provides services to the scientific community (~10000 persons) , via the CERN Users Office and the Experiments Secretariats and the external firm staff (through the Registration Service and the Industrial Service Management).

The service to physicists is provided through PIE which helps maintaining information about these CERN users and the Institutes on which behalf they participate to the CERN experiments. PIE is an AIS designed and implemented application, available on the Web, which maintains data directly into the Oracle*HR repository.

PAD stands for Personnel, Administration for Divisions. This application provides a homemade interface adapted to the needs of divisional secretariats who query and update information related to internal addresses, externals and costings. This tool is used by all divisional and group secretariats.

To find out about all Experiments at CERN, the collaborating Institutes and the persons who participate, you may also use the GreyBook web pages, which are a consolidated, dynamically updated version of the PIE data.

A lot of information is dispatched daily to the CERN users. To maintain list of emails, postal addresses etc .., AIS has designed and implemented the Adressage application. Adressage is available on the WEB, for the CERN mail office, but also for divisional or experiment secretariats.

EDH is used by DAOs for various expenses, school fees reimbursements, etc...
