As a service to staff or non staff persons who have a contract with CERN, the HR-SOC services within HR division acts an intermediary to host states authorities, to provide them with Work permits and green/CD Car plates. This information is entered and maintained in Oracle*HR and validated against your personal and contractual data. Car Stickers are not provided by AIS but by the Registration Services (bdg 55)
CERN provides a medical insurance to staff members or persons working at CERN who choose to apply for medical risks coverage, through its own scheme, namely the CHIS (CERN Health Insurance Scheme). The fees for CHIS insurance, either paid by you within your Payroll or paid by CERN are determined by elements in your personal/contractual data, held in Oracle*HR.
AIS is responsible for transmitting this information to CHIS, to which CERN has entrusted the daily administration of the CHIS.
Any person who needs to access the CERN site must be in possession of a CERN access card, provided by the registration services (bdg 55 and Users Office). This information can be seen using the HRT application .
