Stores Stores
The CERN Stores provide CERN staff and users with standard items. AIS has made the Stores catalogue of these items available directly on the Web. You may also enter a material request from the EDH desktop.
AIS has installed and parametrized BAAN 4 from BAAN, for the CERN Stores (FI/LS) to manage their replenishment, orders, deliveries and inventory.
BAAN 4 is also used to manage the Stores replenishment contracts. These contracts, as well as the upstream Price Enquiries and invitation to tenders are fed into BAAN from the Contracts Follow Up application, designed and implemented by AIS.
Just in Time replenishment and optimization of the Stores requires the input of a variety of Stores parameters. The computation of these sophisticated parameters has required the development of a specific tool, LIMS. LIMS has been designed Dr. B. Schorr and Dr. M. Krever, under supervision by the AIS, and is tightly interfaced with BAAN.
The CET application allows stores expenditure reporting.
